2010 Coming to a Close

Wednesday December 22nd 2010

January 2010 was the start of this company. What I mean is...since starting it all off officially in 2004, Greg and I have both been spending more time outside of NWR than inside of it. That all changed this year.

Both Greg and myself decided to give it all we had and became full-timers for Northwest Riders. The response for the brand has not disappointed. We went into the summer, which was notoriously bad here in Seattle as far as sunshine days, with high expectations. Wakeboarding lessons went well despite that fact. We capped off summer with the 1st ever 'Northwest Riders Wake Series' event in Monroe, WA. We then added some new tee, hoody, and accessories styles and made a push to spread the brand into some strong Northwest shops.

We are adding new shop accounts, basically as I type this. We already have expanded into six Washington locations and two more in Oregon...with others on the way. A lot of interest in Northwest Riders has been springing up and for that we are extremely grateful.

That brings us into today. I'll be heading out of town to visit some family over the next week, and then Greg will be off in January 2011 on a much needed vacation down the Baja peninsula to catch some waves and relaxation.

2011 has a lot of potential for growth as a company (we are still VERY small by most measurements). We will be kicking off wakeboarding lessons in June and will again end the year with the 'Northwest Riders Wake Series' event. Please be sure and checkout the dealer nearest you and have a look at our gear. New styles are in the works already.

I basically wanted to write this quick post to keep all our friends (that's you) in the loop. I say this, because you, our customers, are THE reason we are even able to do what we do. So from us at NWR to all of you...Thank you so much! We are looking forward to 2011 unlike any year this company has ever had.

Merry Christmas...go enjoy some POW and some of Momma's home cooking.
