NW Cup Round 1 This Weekend

This Friday through Sunday features the opening round for the NW Cup downhill mountain biking race. This marks our first sponsored event in mountain biking with an official downhill mountain bike team for Northwest Riders Clothing Company. More on that next week as we launch our Downhill  Mountain Bike Team pages here on the website. Until then, make it out to the ProAm event and say hello...we will have the NWR booth set up with gear sales all weekend.

Friday Party:
The NW Cup will have a season opening party on Friday the 8th at 7:30pm. This year it will be at the Elks Lodge on the corner of Lincoln and 1st street in downtown Port Angeles. Raffle, music & movies.

$5 gets you in the door with a raffle ticket.

The NW Cup kicks off the 2011 race season bigger and badder than ever! They are proud to add a new venue to the series as well at Skibowl, Mt. Hood for 2 of the 5 rounds. Anyone who’s been there knows that Petr Kakes and his Hurricane Racing crew host a top shelf event on a mountain that provides REAL downhill action!

For the third year in a row, NW Cup will be kicking off the season with the opening round of the Pro GRT the weekend before the Sea Otter Classic, priming the region for a “World Cup atmosphere” once again.

With a new venue, new tracks, and a reputation for a world class race experience, the 2011 NW Cup race season is not to be missed.
