Downhill Mountain Bike Team

This last weekend was the first downhill mountain bike event for the 2011 NW Cup. We are sponsoring the series this year and could not be more stoked. The event was a blast and was very well organized and put together. With that event, we officially launch the Northwest Riders Downhill Mountain Bike Team. We step into the sport with three team riders:  Matt Orlando (Bellingham, WA), Nick Marvik (Bellingham, WA), and Jack Hill (Eugene, OR). In this season’s NW Cup series, Matt Orlando will be riding in the Pro Men’s division, Nick Marvick in Men’s Category One 19-29, and Jack Hill in the Men’s Category One 1-18 division.

We couldn’t be more excited to have Nick, Matt, and Jack join our team. All three are great riders and super fun to be around. In fact, the entire downhill community was great to be around. We’re really looking forward to getting more involved with the sport and developing the Northwest Riders downhill mountain bike segment of our company with the input of our team riders. We’re really hoping that by the end of the 2011 season, the Northwest Riders brand will be a recognized fixture in the Northwest downhill scene. This is a sport that really fits Northwest Riders Clothing Co and we are excited to be a part of it moving ahead.
