The 2010 year has been pretty amazing for us here at Northwest Riders Clothing Company. We held our 1st ever contest, expanded with more shop dealers, redesigned our website, and went "all in" as a company.

Plenty of snow, rain, ice, and wind is making its way through the Northwest. Growing up in this stuff in Eastern Washington was one thing. Mix in a lot more people, a lot more vehicles, and add the fact that those people behind the wheels of those vehicles are not used to this much snow and ice means scary conditions!
Don't get me wrong, I'm just as sketched out here in the city when winter hits hard...which is why I am in-doors in the warmth typing this BLOG today.
Greg made his way down to Oregon on a sales trip just before Seattle got tagged with winter...and basically is now stuck south. More on that, along with a pretty telling video of road conditions here in Sea-Town await:

We just picked up a new dealer for Northwest Riders Clothing and couldn't be more stoked! The crew at Seattle Ski & Snowboard are super knowledgeable and have excellent customer service. Head into their shop and get your hands on the newest gear from NWR and have a look at some top tier skis, snowboards, and accessories. Snow is falling...
Check out the Seattle Ski & Snowboard dealer page for more information and for directions to their store:
We had a pretty busy end of the summer with lessons season and it has carried on into the fall with our new clothing that is coming real soon. We are adding a good deal of new tee designs in multiple colorways along with hoodies and some fresh stickers as well.
Have a look at some "Sneak Peeks" -- click on ...

Happy 5th of July friends of NWR! Hope the 4th was safe and was celebrated well. We kept it nice and low key with some friends and family.

Well...the wedding was a success (I didn't get stood up) and the Honeymoon was a blast! Barbados was fantastic even though the waves were pretty much a no go. We did, however, get stood up by the taxi service at 5:00 AM for the trip back home. Special thanks goes out to "Chicken" ... the local Barbadian that gave Sara and I a ride to the airport on the fly...you were a Godsend! We made it to our flight just 10 minutes before check-in closed.
Greg handled the orders superbly and it turns out the company can officially run without me. I think I feel pretty good about that fact...maybe I should take more vacations.
Unexpectedly, Northwest Riders profited handsomely from the wedding. You'll notice all the sweet packaging in the BLOG photo above. NWR got the gift around the gifts that Sara and I received. Paper, plastic bags, and all sorts of shipping goodness. So just a heads up...if you receive your future order and it has some fancy tissue paper with floral designs or some other frilly protective material you have just unwittingly become a part of my holy matrimonious goodness. So...congratulations!
I look forward to getting the rest of June rolling and am pumped to be back in the office and cranking. We have a LOT on our plate right now. Looking forward to some BIG things this summer. We have some pretty sweet plans and happenings in the works that I can't quite let you all know about just yet...but stay tuned.
Happy Tuesday.

A few months ago, I received a call from my friend Dru Gunderson, who I’d met a few years ago while doing some wakeboard clinics near Kalispell, MT. While we were catching up with each other, he mentioned a friend in town who’s son had been staying at Children’s hospital because of a spinal cord tumor and the resulting series of surgeries to remove it. I think Dru was hoping we could send him some t-shirts, but when I mentioned it to our team rider Brandon Robins who had recently lost a leg and knew his way around a hospital, he was more than happy to swing by and make a visit with me.
Read on for the full visit recap.
The all new 2010 Northwest Riders website has been in the works for quite some time now. It has been talked about a LOT and over the last few months we finally put a lot of that talk to paper and eventually to the screen.
The site was completely redesigned from the ground up and has a lot of new content as well as some of the old that has been given a new pair of shoes as well. Click through to read more about what the site has to offer today and what we plan on doing in the future here at northwestriders.com.
Join us on Facebook and suggest the page to your friends. We'll be starting some contests there this summer.
We are officially back in the office and charging for the new year. NWR had a great vacation! Hope all of our friends had a fun holiday season as well.

The 2nd annual 'Gearance' Sale was a nice success. Lots of people came to say hello, lots of gear sold, and lots of crazy discounts on tees and hoodies were taken advantage of. a HUGE "thank you" to all who came out.
Free shipping on orders over $50 is still a go so take advantage for Christmas!
Our bus is up on the auction block at Ebay. If you can fit it in your parking space at school or the office it would make your buddies Beamer look weak.
We just placed our order for the all new tee! It will be in soon so stay tuned...
We regularly offer up sneak peeks over on our Facebook Page. Head over now to check out the tee, and while you are there become a FAN of our page.
It has come time to sell our prized Tour Bus. Fully customized and equipped for boardsports or general travel. Custom couches that fold into beds, a dinette, cherry hardwood floors, travel storage and more. Also equipped with a full vegetable oil coversion kit. Installed and ready for use.

I visited Brandon yesterday and all I can say is literally..."wow." The kid is amazing. Prayers are being answered and both his attitude and his physical health are positive. Visit the update after the click. >
It has been a pretty tough month over here at the NWR camp. Just a few weeks ago, our friend and team rider Hunter Graham was killed on Hayden Lake in Idaho in a jet ski accident. While I was trying to get my thoughts together on that tragic happening and put together some information to update everyone here on the site, we have had another huge weight laid out there.
On July 4th, another close friend and team rider was in an accident. Brandon Robins sustained serious injuries in a dirtbike collision and is currently undergoing various surgeries to repair the damage.
We will continue to update everyone and will be setting up a fund for donations very soon to help Brandon with the medical costs he is incurring.
Please keep both Hunter's family and Brandon and his family in your prayers.
I hope everyone had a solid Memorial weekend. We got some surfing and camping in and the batteries are officially re-charged.
This week we get the new Malibu out on the water and next week we start wake lessons. If you have not signed up for any yet give us a shout (425-220-0675 Greg) and set some up. We have a new logo tee coming down the pipe and it will be available in the next week or two. This is by far the most comfortable tee we have ever produced...check back to buy that here on the site soon.
Our new batch of stickers came in as well and we have added a bright blue cursive die-cut to the mix. I'll post that up for purchase in the next few days. That's the news for now.
Grizzly-Sports has made the move up highway 2 in Monroe, WA. Stop off at the shop on your way up to Stevens Pass and checkout the new digs.

Thanks to Dylan McGuire for his recent sponsorship. Dylan and his friends get a free trip in the Northwest Riders bus. If you'd like to sponsor the web site email us for more information.
Well, it finally happened. Our longtime friend and team rider Brent Starr and his wife Amy added a new member to their family. Leighton Elizabeth Starr was born on December 27th, tipping the scales at 8 lbs 7 oz. and 20.1 inches. She’s got all of her fingers and toes, and a clean bill of health.
Congratulations Brent and Amy!
Back in the office and back at it. I had a nice vacation on the eastside of the state with about 4 feet of snow to shovel over Christmas. Back in the Seattle rain...
We just added to the stickers page with the NWR cursive die-cut and the screen print stickers. On another note, some of the Winter clothing is selling out pretty quick...order online or head to Grizzly-sports in Mill Creek to get your hands on it before it's gone.
A big thanks to all the people that came out to our first annual swap meet on Saturday! We had a great day of hanging out and sold some clothing and gear to top off the day nicely.
We do have plenty of great new and used gear left. We have Slingshot boards and boots at great prices, a 6'8" Lost surfboard, handles/lines and some other tasty little gems that go nice with a warm cup 'o cocoa. Send us an email or give us a call if you are looking for anything boardsport related...chances are we have it. We also have plenty of great winter garments available...they make great Christmas gifts...I'm just sayin...
A few quick updates over on the rideBLOG. Hoody one is in and the rest of the winter goods are close to the doorstep and will be available at Grizzly Sports in Mill Creek, WA and Motion Board Shop in Lake Forest Park, WA soon. The gear will also be available online at BakesOnline.com and of course here on the Northwest Riders site.
Apparently I embarrassed Greg with the last news post. To those of you that do not like Harry Potter and his witchcraft or pink rhinoceros...es...es (?), I apologize.
In other news, I posted up a new rideBLOG which pretty much reiterated what I said last week here, except I added a sweet photo of some swedish dudes hoping for snow. Head on over to the rideBLOG and have a look.
In an effort to keep the NWR faithful (that's you) informed, we have started an official BLOG. The all new rideBLOG will include news and info that we regularly post here on the site in addition to some other exclusives solely for the BLOGGER world. The new "Happenings" can be found by clicking the image above or the link below. More coming soon...stay tuned!
It's been a bit since our last update. We have been keeping super busy with Tour prep and getting things dialed for Fall. It is weird to think ahead that far while we are still sitting here waiting for some sunshine so we can get out on the water.
As I write this, the 2008 Summer Tour has kicked off. Brent Starr, Greg, and our buddy Chris are in Idaho for the first leg of the clinic series. Have a look at the image above for a bit of a visual recap of what we have been doing thus far. If you have not signed up for a clinic yet...head to the Tour page and grab a spot before they fill up.
Update
Wed, May 14, 2008
Our clinic sign ups are now available. Head over to the Tour Page and click the registration link to reserve your spot. We will be updating the Tour Page a lot over the next few weeks so be sure and check back often.
Also...be sure and check out the Grizzly Sports events going on this weekend. We will be out on Sunday with the full setup and showing our support for the NWR skim team as they put on what should be a great demo. Come on out to Mill Creek and say "What's Up!"
Just wanted to write a quick apology to the gentlemen we just encountered at the Safeway gas pumps in Kenmore, WA.

The "Cinco Sporto" Article is up now at Wakeboard Northwest. Head on over and check it out! It has the recap write-up by Greg and some photos of everyone from the day. Should see a small photo gallery up there soon as well.
Family seems to be the theme of the month for our little company. One of our wake riders, Mr. Eric Sund and his lovely wife Lindsey recently welcomed their daughter Rylee Mae to the family. Rylee is their first kid and we’ve got money on her first words being ‘nose press’ or ‘back lip.’ For those of you that don’t know, Eric is the resident king of rails at the playground that is Koppert Lake. Congratulations Eric and Lindsey!
Well we did it...in a mix of Spanish/English (Spanglish?) we dubbed our adventure "Cinco Sporto Cero Ocho" and set out to cover five board sports in one day. It took us 21 hours and some mileage on the NWR Bus (yet to be officially named). Stay tuned for coverage.
Our old friend and team rider, Brent Starr and his lovely wife Amy recently celebrated their one year wedding anniversary. Brent spends a good chunk of his summers on the Northwest Riders Tour, and we’re hoping that Amy might be able to join in on a few of our trips this summer. Congratulations to the Starrs, once they decide to add a few kids perhaps they’ll lay claim to having a new constellation named after them. We’d call it “The Mason Lake Mafia.”
We added photos on the team rider page tonight. Wake team rider, Brent Starr, now has his photos up. Have a look!
A New Rider Is Born
Northwest Riders is a proud grandparent (?) of the newest addition to our growing family. Our original designer from Day 1, Gabe Coyne, and his beautiful wife Jamie welcomed their healthy baby boy Ethan James Coyne into the world on Thursday February 28th. Ethan was 7 lbs. 4 oz. and 19 inches long. He seems destined to be a surfer, as he came out grabbing rail on the umbilical cord. Also noteworthy is the fact that unlike many of the undeniably ugly babies out there, Ethan is one heck of a cute kid. Congratulations Gabe and Jamie!
Alright crew...we have added some updates to the site. Sorry for the lapse in news posts, we took some R&R last week with an amazing surf trip in the new Bus. We had bluebird skies, clean waves, and a great little camp session. We couldn't have asked for a better initial run in the Bus.
We added multiple rider bios on our Team Page, so check it out. We also added some brief words on this seasons upcoming Tour. There is more to come as we finalize dates and get some photos of the Bus and our new 2008 Malibu Wakesetter 23 LSV. Cya soon!
On the noteworthy newsfront for the day...a little bit of an interesting fact came through the NWR office today. For some time, Greg and I have known that his birthday of April 23rd and my birthday of April 24th (1-year apart) were a little number that brought Northwest Riders Clothing Company an odd little twist with us being both owners of the company and the same birth month (and nearly day). A bit later we hired on our lead designer, Trevor Kaiser. Talking to Trevor revealed that he also was born on April 23rd. This was a bit of a shock that brought us a good chuckle. Tonight, after receiving our new designer, Nomi Stirm's, bio for the site...we were treated to another crazy shock. It turns out Nomi's birthday is April 24th also. What does this little rant of mine mean? Not much really, it just made for a slightly weird, slightly scary, and very random (or not so) twist to our company.
So...if you were born on or around April 23-24 then please send us your resume. We should probably keep this little hot streak going so we have a good conversation starter next time we are out and about.
The new 2008 Northwest Riders Clothing Company web site officially launched today! We have a lot planned for this coming year and hope you all decide to take part in it. New limited clothing and gear is available now on the product pages. We have a lot more coming for the site with the Tour, Team, and other pages so be sure and check back here often. If there is anything you want to tell us or recommend, please send a comment. Thanks for the support!
Had breakfast in the bus this morning...this thing is sweet with the furniture in. Now it is just days away from being on the road. Next on the list is installing the massive stickers. Thanks to Daniel and Ejay at DiecutStickers.com for the sweet decals! Photos coming soon.
We have been super busy these last few days. The new product is in! Five tees, a flex fit hat, and an assortment of die-cut stickies. Browse around the product page and buy 'em up while you can.
Sitting here in the office plugging away on the new 2008 web site for Northwest Riders Clothing Company. We got the bus back from the mechanic and she is running like a top. 100% waste vegetable oil is our new fuel of choice...environmentally friendlier than straight diesel and gas for sure! We are installing furniture tonight and then it will be almost ready for the road. Keep checking back to the tour page for info on this season's summer tour and also to read up on the bus and the new 2008 Malibu Wakesetter LSV 23.
