Isaac Thomas
Date of Birth: November 19, 1987
-foreword by Greg Young-
My favorite thing about Isaac is that whenever we see each other he always comes up and gives me a big hug. It’s not that I’m a huge fan of man-hugs or anything, it’s just that Isaac constantly reminds me that business should come second to the friendships that we make along the way. The Isaac Thomas hug just means that skimboarding isn’t just a job to him, he’s really interested in getting to know who he’s riding with. Even though he’s considered by many to be the best flatland skimboarder in the world, he’s much more interested in making quality friends along the way than he is in winning contests. In addition to the patented Isaac Thomas man-hug, he also excels at smiling, laughing, and being possibly the nicest person on the planet.
Isaac is not only one of the best flatland skimboarders ever, he is also a hugely talented skateboarder and snowboarder. He loves sharing his passions with kids, as a snowboard instructor up at Mt Baker and an instructor at DB’s Skim Camps. Isaac plans on being an elementary school teacher, which is also pretty awesome. As I’ve always said, Today’s youth...tomorrow’s future.
