Richard Docter
Richard Docter
Date of Birth: May 7, 1987
-foreword by Greg Young-
Richard seems to be the father figure of the DB crew. It’s easy to see that he has a ton of fun doing what he does, whether its riding, filming, shooting photos, or working behind the scenes at running the business. He seems to me to always have the big picture in mind when he’s doing things though. It’s easy to get caught up in goofing around while shooting a skimboard video. After all, the best videos are the ones that make riding look so fun that the audience wants to strip down to boardshorts and go skimboarding right then and there. But Richard seems to be the guy that keeps things running on a timeline, the guy that has a mental checklist in his mind and is aware of what needs to be crossed off of it.
Not only is he one of the main forces keeping the company rolling along (he’s the only one of the DB crew that’s already graduated from college...Everyone else is still in school), but he is a super-talented skimboarder as well. Richard has a certain style to his riding that’s always fun to watch.
