I haven’t gotten to know Tim super well, since about the time that I met the DB guys he moved down to California to attend school at Cal Poly. I do know that Tim is as friendly as they come. Like the rest of the DB crew, he is always cheerful, always willing to help out with whatever needs to be done, and is super easygoing.
When I tagged along with the DB Team on the film trip for ‘Nice Pop’ in 2008, all 9 of us spent the night in a bus that slept 8. We had parked on the side of the road right across the street from the Spanish Banks, which is a huge city park that’s patrolled frequently at night to make sure nobody’s sleeping on the beach. The frequent patrols meant that even though it was 150 degrees inside the bus and we were crammed in like sardines, trying to sleep on the beach was risking a ticket or an arrest. I was on a bed next to Tim, not that it mattered much because all 9 of us were sleeping in a 70 sq ft. area, but that guy snored like I had never thought possible. I remember waking up, opening my eyes, and looking around only to see a couple of the other guys just staring in awe at the thunderous maelstrom of lung butter that Tim seemed to be gargling. I think we were all too impressed to be upset over our pending sleep deprivation. Now my rule is to hang out with Tim as much as I can during the day, because he’s awesome when he’s awake but he snores loud enough to shatter bulletproof glass.
